My favorite thing about this series is the byplay between Demmy and Cody. Cody is such a big, happy, wide open kid with a smart mouth and killer looks. Demmy is the more serious, patient voice of reason who manages the details of their business and steps in to smooth over ruffled feathers when Cody's sarcasm or temper (or past dating history) gets them in hot water. But their dialog is hilarious! These are two guys know each other better than anyone else--almost better than they know themselves. They've always been just friends; even gay Demmy has been immune to Cody's sexual magnetism. But things began changing in book one. The relationship is definitely a slow burn. (check out my Goodreads review if you want a spoiler about whether they actually get together in this book in the series.) The paranormal aspect is entertaining and even more far-fetched than the first. There are plenty of dangerous situations and near misses to keep readers turning the pages quickly. I am completely in love with the guys and eager to check out the next book in the series.
